Long weekend ahead yey

Finally some much needed buffer time to spare myself from waking up so early in the mornings. Assignments are rather manageable currently, I just hope it wouldn't increase incrementally and spiral up like a tall ass staircase.

I do not know if I would be accepted after the auditions. I screwed up my voice by eating fried saba fish earlier in the afternoon :( 

So much for having a pain in the ass deep ass voice. 

I just hope to get into the cca's that I desire and maybe make more friends there, at the same time doing stuff that interests me.

Rather late shuteye today, night interwebs.

Auditions tomorrow and cad module

Having a cad module tomorrow, I did not print the notes out as the pdf was too outdated it seems. First ever cad lesson only anyways,should be okay to not print it.

Also after school tomorrow I am having voices auditions. I hopefully I will be accepted, only problem is that my voice can crack up sometimes. Another is that my voice is a little to deep sometimes, I do not know how to "deactivate" it sometimes. 

Maybe there are techniques to overcome this idk.

Anyways I gonna give it a shot. Sleeping early for better concentration tomorrow.

Hectic Day

Almost midnight soon, and I still have to print out my organic chem practical notes zzz...

Had normal school lessons until 4pm, then I rushed back campus at 7pm for the voices walk-in party. Quite fun actually just that I was tired. 

I am lethargic as heck now, so I will keep this short.

Nothing much except that its the end of the first week of semester one. Can't wait to join cca's :D 

I will start changing my post headlines from tommorrow onwards, as being a traditionalist I feel starting the change on 24th with the number 4 is a little to inauspicious. 

Keeping it the short type of post as usual cause I am gonna sleep earlier and not waste so much time.

Earlier today, there was the challenge thingy of lsct school which was to collect food from residences around hdb area of clementi, to support the Food Bank. 

Previously during the second day which was the 12th, we had already distributed flyers notifying residents of the food collection program. We realised that people residing in those point blocks were donating lesser, as compared to straight rowed blocks residents. 

Its either they were too lazy to bother (like me I will be frank here :z) or they are misers.

Carrying the food items was okay, even though some might get a little heavy. The main problem was the blazing hot weather thanks to the sun.

Fourth day of school technically, cause even though yesterday theres no lessons but I still count it as fourth. 

Dance 4 fun performance today was quite fun to watch, even though the strong air con made me feel a little sleepy ha. I should not have went back to school on yesterday during weed day just to collect the npsu freshmen dance party thingy. Also nobody from class is interested in going, so go there solo its not gonna be fun.

Damn, I got mindfucked hard during the mini games our little group had near the co-op store lmao. 

Tomorrow theres a charity food drive collection thingy going on, I will sleep earlier today as I am lethargic to the point where I almost fell asleep during the bus ride back home.

And by early, I mean its gonna be like 11:45 or later.

I regretted buying this heavy ass laptop, got to like carry it everyday to campus and it feels like a rock. Cause I have other things to bring as well, like notes paper the laptop adaptor (in case of low power) etc.

However, the laptop is still decent enough when it comes to its screen size and its resolution of full hd is better than my desktop's monitor. 

Also for the timetable, I still wonder why for E Math its labelled as Practical (P) instead of Tutorial (T) for tomorrow's math module lesson. I guess I will find it out tomorrow then.

Second day of sem 1 as a freshmen, so far I have got to say poly isn't that intimidating for people like me who were previously accustomed to secondary school type of life. 

I prefer this kind of freedom that poly has to offer than a jc. 

Jc is more like a secondary 2.0 type of thing, I am a little sick of it as going to jc is in my opinion doing the same mundane stuff like homework after homework etc. 

Not to mention the insurmountable amount of assessments and homework jc has to offer. 

Enough of those crap, what the heck am I even saying. So today basically I only had three modules. Noise monitoring and control module, some organic chemistry module and a environmental module. 

The noise monitoring module, my lecturer told us (all the coursemates) that the wsq cert is valuable for getting an advantage in the workforce in the near future. Also, a noise control/monitoring officer can be paid up to 100 dollars plus per hour. I don't know if theres part time job for this type of thing or not, I have I would gladly take it up during holidays. 

But of course if its at a construction site I will think twice, as it is a little unsafe to be working there in my opinion. 

Next for the organic chemistry module. The front part of the lecture was okay, until the back part of it suddenly we were taught of types of polarity and other chim stuff. I don't think I quite get some parts to be honest. 

Lastly, its the environmental microbiology and biotechnology course. This course was more interesting than the others, as it deals with more critical issues like the treatment of wastes with bacteria etc. 

Only thing I had to complain is that earlier on before the lecture I realised that all the toilets on the lecturing floors of block 72 are under renovation. Had to hold my bladder for 1 hour sia, I think my bladder kena destroyed already :(

I am not sure if I will go to the cca fiesta solo or maybe with some secondary school friends or with coursemates tomorrow, as theres no lessons for my course for the entire day.

Yeeey school finally started today. Six month of rotting at home officially comes to an end, jk. 

Anyways, today quite short as there was only a single math module lesson for 2 hours only. Shortly after our course trainer briefed us on stuff etc. 

Today's weather was scorching hot earlier. Sweat like ice cubes lah. My whole body wet wet ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) 

I better keep this short to make way for my sleep.

Tomorrow is the start of real polytechnic life, albeit having only one a math module for only about two hours. I have got to bring along my laptop, I will just slip it in my haversack. Maybe I can also possibly fit in the ac/dc adapter for the laptop's power supply, cause that haversack as big as heck. When on earth will I be able to sleep early?

In between of a two day buffer of starting sem 1 and the previous biology bridging course which took about four hours. 

Best thing that happened today is the I finally found my damn old sony smartphone. It contained lots of old photos and videos I took when I was little, some old videos are plain cringy autistic shit. I better hide it in some disk drive or something idk. Also had some images of the old flat at 285D, lived there for 10 years. Then I moved to that shitty Yew Tee mall apartment with foul smelling oil fumes from the shopping centre downstairs. Now Im back at my former childhood estate again. 

Other then that I think I have nothing much to say about today, I will sleep earlier today. Man I hate teenage circadian rhythms.

Went to campus earlier for the freshmen bridging course for biology only. The lecturer taught us some "chim" (hard to comprehend stuff) about bio for 4 hours, with their powerpoint slides and a couple of videos. 

Thereafter I called up my friend who also enrolled into the same school but into engineering school instead for him, he told me that he was in campus with my another former classmate during lower secondary. They told me that our alma matter had cca stepdown event, so I decided to head back to our former secondary school CWSS.

I felt a little nostalgic going back, the feeling of being gradauted from your alma mater and having some emotional attachment to the place, due to the friends made, all secondary school memories was there; is somewhat of a qualia for me. 

I realised that my former cca club's room was closed, was it because they were all at the hall for the stepdown event? I don't know. So I headed to the New Media Studio instead with my friends, as they were all part of New Media back last year. 

I thought I could see Brian there as I still owe him 7 bucks for the taxi fare for prom night lolz. 

So we just kinda slacked there and talk about our new polytechnic campus life and stuff. A former primary school friend who is still in cwss and New Media told me that she still remembered that I was her former primary school classmate. I was surprised that she knew, I thought cause it was a long time ago so she might have forgotten lol.

I have taken a few videos when I was there for memory keepsake as I still feel unbearable to part with the Commonwealth family :(. But life has to move on, and I will always visit back cwss whenever I can in the future.

Last day of orientation which is day 3, ended with a bang! lol

So today earlier I was damn "suay" cause I boarded the direct public bus from my house's nearby bus stop, then I got stuck in a major traffic jam of the morning rush at around 8.00am. When I reached campus, it was already 8.30 already and I still had to make my way to the venue of the course talk. I was late for the course talk by about 10 minutes plus. It is through this that I learnt the morning rush had no mercy for the first time as for the previous days I went to campus 30 minutes earlier, due to earlier starting times for the first two days.

After the course talk by the course head and other speaker's, we got to know our respective course trainer's. They told us of their expectations of us and what to do during lessons etc. 

When the course related activities were done, we headed to our usual sub tribes and carry out activities like mini games at the mechanical engineering school building and ate lunch at the same time. 

Thereafter the activities were carried out, forth we were to participate in the mass dance segment thing. We kept on repeated doing the dance until i extremely "sian" and annoyed but no choice man. 

Finally when the segments was completed we went up to the second floor of convention centre's hall like area to take part in the grand finale. Every tribe had to go up to the front and do the candyman dance lmao. Luckily I stood in the middle and I no need to expose my dance to people sitting down XD. The Orientation Group Leaders (OGL'S) also performed a orion tribal skit at the finale. Last but not least, a collage of photos of all various sub tribes throughout the camp doing different activities and finally an entire photo of the whole lsct freshmen fam together :). 

Followed on after the finale, my sub tribe headed down to the first floor to have our dinner and took some more pictures together. 

To end it off I would like to say that it was great to have these awesome fellow freshmen of lsct, and also the OGL'S and Alumni Group Leaders (AGL'S) for guiding us throughout the camp. Even though the agl's might have betrayed our feelings lol.

Orientation day 2 was fun :D 

Just now at first they had the lsct cca briefing all these things and afterwards, we (as in all the lsct freshmen) finally had the treasure hunt carried out throughout the campus.

Basically what we had to do for the treasure hunt is that every sub tribe, mine is called kaiju, were given a piece of paper with riddles to solve and the answer would lead to the location of the place we needed to go. When we reached a certain location, if the place is correct then there will be challenges to complete. For example we had mini games, like the boy and girl pair challenge lmao some people kena until need to put the object like for eg. pingpong ball in between them and their partner's head, which is of opposite gender.

Next, we had the wet station activities which were carried out in the pool area. 

Lmao I forgot to bring extra underwear for np orientation wet activities I thought its just water guns and buckets. I ended up wearing my fbt without underwear and jumped into the pool XD


For the third segment, we had to go to a clementi estate to distribute food donation flyers and tell residents to donate food within their capacity, as lsct will be carrying out a food donation drive on the 22nd of April. After giving out flyers for quite a few floors and telling the residents whats going on, I came across a particular unit on either the 7th or 8th floor I forgot. Resided by two elderly couple of above 70 years old, they told me that they were jobless and are under welfare by either the government or Lions Befrienders as a number of residents had stickers of the Lions logo pasted on their door which says they are under a welfare scheme. A community centre volunteer told me that most people of the block are indeed not that well to do, so thereafter I told the residents to donate if they have enough for themselves.


It has struck to me that the vulnerable people of our larger society needs not just food or donations, but also people to talk to. Conversing with those couple for a while and I knew that the elderly couple is lonely.


So after the distribution is done, our sub tribe regroup up and some of us went to eat at the roof garden above Clementi Mall. We had interesting games there I will not say what it is you guys who were in the csop and followed us there will know one ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Had my first day at np lsct orientation earlier :). I have got to say that I never expected to not start out the programmes with my other fellow mates from the same course. But its also good to mingle around with other freshmen of the same school in my opinion.

I did not manage to know most of their names but at least I know some already not bad lah. Our group Kaiju of Kairou (I think I spelt it right idk maybe) was enthusiastic throughout the activities that were carried out from the ice breakers>station games>dance segment (arrow according to time frame). 

I will keep this short as I need imperative rest for tommorrow's day 2 activities lest I faint x.x

Tomorrow's the orientation day yay. But seriously, I still don't know much on what to expect other than the itinerary for the timeline of events carried out for the next three days. 

I watched Busniess and Accountancy school's orientation camp video on youtube earlier, I have to say it looks quite fun. At least put some pictures of what freshman like us would expect from orientation camp, so we would know better of what to bring and what to do when we are there. 

Just hope that it would be fun and not some strictly regimed or boring stuff. Maybe I do a short vid later or something on utube.

Two days away from orientation. I should probably start to sleep even earlier to sync with my new school schedule. Parents out for a date somewhere near Gardens By The Bay, so basically I have the entire house to my own self lol. Hopefully things will turn out smoothly :)

I left my desktop pc on for a little more than 24 hours since yesterday for that /robin thing. Hope it survives night two which is this night of 7th to 8th April.

Learnt basic piano today, overall experience was quite good as I was able to grasp and learn the basic stuff my tutor had taught me. I am still a little confused on same chord related notations, but I guess I can somehow understand it fully soon with dedication and practice. 

Very late now, talk about sleeping early when I can't even.

Nothing much today, played some games earlier and streamed it on twitch at the same time. The video quality on twitch is not that good, same goes to other "big/professional" streamers. Even if I could make money off twitch by becoming known on the internet, I have come to a conclusion that it is simply a waste of time and it does not have any meaningful impact on the world, other than having more lazy ass teenagers watch my streams, effectively wasting my time.

I would need to sleep earlier today cause I am taking up piano lessons starting tomorrow. Not sure if I am immediately starting on the piano first or watching the tutor demonstrate on the piano. 

Another reason I should probably sleep earlier is that school is gonna start soon. If I continue to sleep this late I might end up becoming a "zombie" during orientation programme lol.

Ehehehe as expected no one pranked me up, even that cheeky whatsapp msg from a group (not tellin what) did not fool me. I just wrote back to that group "nice meme" and no one replied back. 

Sleeping early for real this time, I am starting piano lessons on 3rd April. I hope its not to late to take up music related stuff, I should have learnt back when I was 8 or something idk.

I am starting to wonder if people actually sees my blog or am I actually talking to myself. Hmmm...
